FOR FOUNDERS & STARTUPS
Business consulting for founders and startups
Business consulting for founders starts with a clear decision. Before you commit more money to a launch, a campaign or a new hire, identify the decision that matters most. Business Lab works with founders and business owners in Lebanon, and remotely across MENA, to investigate the business before recommending the next step.

Business consulting for founders: start with the uncertainty
You may be deciding what to sell, who to serve, how to price, or whether to invest in acquisition. A useful starting point is a specific question: what would have to be true for this investment to make sense?
Business Therapy is our evidence-first approach to business diagnosis. We examine the evidence relevant to your question, name what is missing, and agree a first action that can reduce uncertainty.
Five checks before the next investment
- Customer problem: Who experiences it, how do they solve it today, and what evidence shows they will pay to change?
- Offer: Can the buyer explain what they receive, why it matters, and what commitment you are asking them to make?
- Economics: What remains after product, delivery, acquisition and payment costs? When does the cash arrive?
- Buying process: Where does the conversation stop? Distinguish an offer problem from a lead-quality or follow-up problem.
- Delivery: Can you fulfil what you sell at the expected cost and standard without making every step depend on the founder?
These are investigation questions, not a claim that every startup has the same problem. The first check depends on your evidence and financial constraints.
Choose support after the diagnosis
A business consultation can help clarify a decision. Virtual CMO support provides ongoing marketing leadership when that is the need. Growth Accelerator connects strategy with marketing and sales execution. Founders who want structured learning can explore Business Lab Academy.
Do I need a business coach or a consultant?
The label matters less than the work you need. Business Lab's positioning is diagnosis-led business consulting and execution. We investigate a business question and help translate the findings into action; we do not promise a particular revenue or funding outcome.
What to bring to a founder consultation
Bring one recent example that shows the decision you face. If enquiries are arriving but people do not buy, a few complete sales conversations may be more useful than a monthly reach total. If you are considering a new service, bring its expected delivery work, direct costs and the reason customers would choose it. Share only the records relevant to the agreed scope.
Separate what you know from what you assume. A paid order is different evidence from a positive comment. An estimate of delivery time is different from time recorded on a completed job. The aim is to establish which assumption deserves a test before you commit more resources.
Agree a first test and a review point
For example, a founder considering more advertising might first review where recent buying conversations stopped. That review could reveal a need to clarify the offer, improve follow-up or investigate whether the enquiries fit the intended customer. This is an illustrative investigation path, not a diagnosis of your business.
Agree who will carry out the first action, what evidence to collect and when to review it. The test should be small enough to carry out within your constraints and useful enough to inform the next decision. If the evidence remains unclear, record that uncertainty instead of treating a guess as a finding.
A practical planning resource for founders
The U.S. Small Business Administration business-planning guide offers questions about customer demand, competing alternatives and startup costs. Use it as a research checklist; its U.S. funding and legal guidance does not establish requirements for a business in Lebanon or another MENA market. Business consulting for founders can help turn your answers into a specific question to investigate.
