BUSINESS LAB · EVIDENCE BEFORE TACTICS
Why do WhatsApp sales conversations stall?
A WhatsApp conversation can stall because nobody owns the reply, the answer does not address the need, the price lacks context, proof is missing or there is no clear next step. Timing and poor fit can also explain silence. Read real exchanges and compare successful and stalled conversations before choosing a correction.
Trace what actually happened
Start with a few recent exchanges from the same period and offer. Record the enquiry source, first useful reply, question asked, recommendation, price, next step and known outcome. Remove personal identifiers that are not needed for the review.
Do not infer that the final message caused the loss merely because it was last. The buyer may have been comparing, waiting for approval or unsuitable from the beginning. Mark the reason unknown when it is not supported.
Answer with context and a recommendation
A price list can be useful, but the customer still needs to understand which option fits and what it includes. Answer the price question, ask one relevant question and recommend an available option with a reason. Do not create benefits or payment terms the business has not approved.
Check that links, ordering, delivery information and payment instructions work on a phone. Slow responses and a complicated journey can coexist; repairing one does not establish that the other is harmless.
Make ownership and the next step clear
Name the person responsible for replying and agree a voluntary next step with the buyer. Follow up with information relevant to the decision and respect a request to stop. A reminder without new value may not address the uncertainty.
Test one observed weakness, such as an unclear inclusion, and review comparable lead-to-sale outcomes and contribution. Faster messages, more messages and friendlier language are activity changes; the business result still needs measurement.

Does silence prove the price is too high?
No. Check fit, timing, value, proof, follow-up and buying friction using actual conversations.
